5 common mistakes people make

1) Focusing solely on the price

“They are all the same, right?” Well, no, they are not.

Infrared saunas offer various timbers, heater designs and entertainment features. But most importantly, not all saunas are engineered to target specific health & wellness outcomes. By looking for value in an infrared sauna, you open yourself up to an exceptional experience.

2) Not asking for clinical research

Various infrared saunas claim to offer health and wellness outcomes. Yet, these are rarely backed by clinical research. When discussing the benefits, it is essential to ask for independent research data that supports these claims.

3) Looking for a ‘Lifetime’ Warranty on ‘Everything’

Be wary of a ‘lifetime’ warranty on ‘everything’ in your sauna. While it’s important to consider a warranty on your sauna, it’s more important to find out exactly what the warranty entails.

4) Worrying about the sauna ‘not being hot enough’

The old ‘hot rock’ method of sauna heating has hardly changed in hundreds of years. You no longer need to sit in scorching temperatures and high heat to experience the benefits of saunas.

Infrared heating technology (such as Solocarbon®) is designed to raise core body temperature, not just the ambient air. This way, you can enjoy a deep sweat at more comfortable temperatures. (As stated earlier, sweating in an infrared sauna has been linked to a number of potential benefits).

Don’t be surprised if you don’t sweat during the first few sessions. Sweating will increase with regular use, removing toxins and leaving you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

5) Looking for a “No-EMF” sauna

Sorry, but it simply does not exist.

Even a high-quality modern infrared sauna will emit a minimal amount of EMF. Every electrical device emits EMF. EMF is everywhere in our homes and offices. The electrical appliances we use (an electric can opener at close range emits EMFs), computers, monitors, keyboards and mice, wireless modems, cordless phones, clock radios, hair dryers, mobile phones, microwave ovens and more – all produce EMFs.
